Sheila Mangan was born in the small village of the Valley on Achill Island Co., Mayo. She Moved to Dublin 1970’s and then to Galway City where she has lived for the past 32 years, but she will always call Achill home.

Sheila is fascinated by the ever-changing haunting skies and landscapes of the west coast of Ireland and enjoys painting these stunning vistas. She is a wood turner and produces unique quilting designs. Her ambition is to draw and paint skies with billowing clouds similar to Paul Henry’s.
