Sean Lavelle continued

Sean was born and reared in Galway city. Before he retired he worked in the Consultant Engineering field and before the arrival of computers, he spent many years producing detailed drawings by hand. This gave him an eye for detail which he reflects in his paintings. His other great passion is photography and he uses his knowledge of composition, lighting, etc. in his paintings.
He specialises in landscapes and finds inspiration in his native city and county.
He studied painting with Barbara Kavanagh for several years and works in watercolor and pastels.
Sean joined the Galway Art Club in 2013 and has exhibited at the club’s annual exhibition and at the club’s exhibition at Castle Ellen in Athenry. He exhibits also at the Culdee Studio exhibition in Annaghdown, Co. Galway.
