Mary Glynn was born in Galway City and has lived there all her life.

Her favourite type of art is painting. Mary’s preference is abstract, landscapes and contemporary art.

Oil and pastels are the mediums she mostly works with.

Although Mary has no formal art training she has attended art courses. Of these she has been mostly inspired by Belfast artist Mr. Fran McCann.

She has exhibited her work at the annual Galway Art Club Exhibition as well as Local
charity events.

Mary loves to start with a blank canvas with no preconceived idea of the finished piece.
Palette knife and thick paint are her preferred method. Bold colours and dark/light tones are a theme across her portfolio.
