Marian was born in Tuam and she now lives in Claregalway.
Marian started painting with Miriam Cronin’s Paint Box in Barna over 25 years ago.
Her preferred medium is acrylic but she also works in oil and watercolour.
She paints an eclectic mix of landscape, still life and abstract.
Brilliant colour contrasts, play of light, broad sweeping brushstrokes and use of pallette knife are Marian’s forte.
She has successfully exhibited with the Galway Art Club for a number of years.
